World number one Reanne Evans retained the Connie Gough Memorial Ladies Snooker Title at the weekend at Dunstable Sports Club, beating Jasmine Bolsover 4-1 in the final.

During the event Evans produced two sizeable breaks in her quarter-final match against Tina Allton, one of 60, the other of 61, for which she took the high break prize of £25.

Her outstanding quality of play and overall performance earned her the ‘Player of the Tournament’ prize of £50.

Evans said: “I am glad to have won, I played OK in patches. Hopefully my run will continue into the Worlds and I’m looking forward to trying to make it 11 World titles. I was really impressed with Jasmine, she can pot and play safe so she’s looking good for the future and I hope she keeps it up.”

The WLBSA would to thank Julie Hemingway, Gary Connelly and Dunstable Sports Club for their sponsorship and their continued support.
