HOCKEY: Luton youngsters land the treble
It was the turn of the U6 teams first as Luton had six players – some as young as four – competing, and they won all four matches against Letchworth and Shefford & Sandy.
The side managed an impressive total of 16 goals, of which eight came from Halimah Olatunji and six were scored by Yaminah Olatunji, with Cavan Shadbolt-Mackay and Niam Haroon also on target.

Hide AdSophie Starkey and Sam Dobson did a fine job too, winning the ball to make some great passes to their team-mates.
The U8s were also in action, represented by Charlie Ryan, May Haroon, George Dobson, Seb Singh Brar and Ryan Siddons.
They finished second in their pool against Shefford and Letchworth, with two wins, one draw and one defeat to their name.
Luton managed to pick themselves up for a tough semi-final against St Ives who had comfortably won their pool, but goals from Siddons and Ryan saw the U8s through to meet Leighton Buzzard in the final.

Hide AdIt was a closely fought affair, with chances both sides, until Luton netted the winner through Dobson and then defended well against some late pressure to seal victory.
The U10s then took to the field, with their squad featuring Ellie Shadbolt-Mackay, Kate Starkey, Indianne D-Cruz, Tom Ryan, Tom Quested, Katie Behrens, Tom Ryan and Zac Grinsted.
They won four from four in their pool against Leighton Buzzard and Shefford & Sandy, netting 15 goals and only conceding two.
Luton won the semi-final 2-0 against Shefford & Sandy B and took on their opponents’ A team in the final, where they triumphed 2-0 to lift the trophy.
