Okuonghae thrilled to finally get back to playing
The 29-year-old defender played for an hour at Peacehaven & Telscombe on Saturday, his first action since November last year, and then featured again during the 4-2 win over Staines last night.
Speaking to the News/Gazette, Okuonghae said: “It’s been extremely frustrating for me as the last time I played a match was November 22 last year, so I’m literally delighted to have come through it unscathed.

“It’s a credit to the medical staff and all the staff here.
“They’ve nurtured me through and given me the time that’s needed to get myself fully fit.”
Okuonghae had spent the last six seasons with Colchester, where he was named club captain, making more than 200 appearances, before his release in the summer.
He admitted he had been about to sign elsewhere, but quickly changed his mind once Luton showed their hand.

“I’d literally made my mind up to sign for another club, but it was a no-brainer as soon as the gaffer rang me.”
