Steve McNulty: 6 - Got caught out for Shrews’ first and had his hands full with Vernon and Collins.

Luke Wilkinson: 6 - Tough afternoon for the centre back as Hatters were under the cosh for the majority.

Matt Robinson: 5 - Found it hard going as Shrews dominated the midfield but was unlucky to be shown a straight red when yellow would have sufficed.

Jim Stevenson: 5 - Difficult Football League debut for the youngster as the game bypassed him at times.

Luke Rooney: 6 - Bitterly disappointed to be substituted so early as he had looked Luton’s main threat.

Luke Guttridge: 6 - His frustration grew as Town’s attacks broke down. Hopefully his injury isn’t too serious.

Mark Cullen: 5.5 - Finding it hard playing a wider role this season. Very few chances to speak of.

Paul Benson: 5.5 - Desperately seeking his first goal of the campaign. Opportunities just haven’t been there though.

Ross Lafayette (sub): 6 - Added more pep but couldn’t herald a comeback.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu (SUB): 6 - Shrews’ second within moments of his arrival limited impact.
