Walk-in vaccine centres set up in Luton this weekend after 50% drop in numbers receiving first jab

Data from NHS England shows that 1,002 first doses of the vaccine were administered in Luton in the week leading to April 11 – 594 fewer than the week before and the lowest in the preceding five weeks.
A national delay in deliveries from India and the need to retest a batch of 1.7 million doses has been behind the issues with vaccine supply in April.
