Stan's charity shop '˜n' sketch at The Mall, Luton
Part of his profits go to The Mall Cares initiative and he has raised more than £5,000 since his first visit to the centre in 2011.
Stan – who’s been a professional artist since 1980 – says he loves coming to the Luton mecca: “It’s such an interesting place to work as there’s such a diverse mix of people.

Hide Ad“And with the airport just around the corner, you feel like you’re taking a trip around the world – it has a real cosmoplitan feel.” He added: “It’s so different from sitting on my own at home, working from photographs. I much prefer sketching people live in front of me.”
He offers both black and white and colour portraits as well as caricatures with prices starting from £10, from which 15 percent goes to The Mall Cares. Mall marketing manager Lavinia Douglas said: “Stan is a real hit with our shoppers.”
