Lacey wants to rise to Town challenge
The talented young centre-half is highly regarded by boss John Still and has already benefited from some individual tutelage from the vastly experienced manager.
Lacey, who has started all three of Town’s pre-season games, two of them as captain, said: “He’s given me some one-on-one coaching and some defensive sessions on positioning.

“I would like to push on and hopefully see if I can get a chance.”
Injuries have delayed Lacey’s progress and just when it looked like he might be given a chance last season, more defenders were frustratingly drafted in.
The 20-year-old defender enjoyed a successful loan spell at Eastleigh last season, helping them into the Conference South play-offs, and he’s now hoping to use that experience to break into the Luton team.
