Batsmen let Dunstable down after leaders are spun in a web
Dunstable were set just 164 to win as Cherry took 4-9 from 6.4 overs and Alston claimed 3-24.
However, the visitors’ batting problems were on show once again as only three made double figures, Cherry top-scoring with 25 as Dunstable were dismissed fora mere 109 to fall 55 runs short.

Hide AdJason Strong continued his impressive start to the season by going one step further than last week’s 96 by hitting his first Dunstable IIs ton with 104 on Saturday against St Albans in Division Four B.
Ian Horton also made 98 not out as Dunstable reached 249-3 from their 50 overs.
Fast bowler Harry McBrearty then took 5-20 as Dunstable restricted St Albans to just 134-9 to win by 115 runs.
The IIIs went top of Division Eight B as they bowled Northampton Exiles out for 166 and chased their target for the loss of seven wickets.

Hide AdAdam Lewis took 2-17, with two apiece for Awais Khan, Ayaz Ahmed and Ciaran Newton.
Lewis then hit 46 from just 44 balls with the bat, with Mehul Godhania anchoring the innings with 71 from 106 deliveries as Dunstable reached 167-7.
After an impressive start to the season, the IVs suffered their second defeat in a row, losing to by 147 runs to Henlow in the Beds Invitational League Division Two.
Ajmal Ahmed took 4-51 on his first ever adult appearance, but Dunstable were set a mammoth target of 286 to win from 40 overs.

Hide AdIn truth, they never got close, despite a positive start from Marcus Connor who hit 41 before Dean Woods added 26, Dunstable finished on 138-8.
On Sunday, Dunstable made their way to the top of the Bedfordshire County LeaguePremier Division with a convincing win over Flitwick.
Ian Gilbert took 3-37 as Dunstable bowled Flitwick out for a fairly modest 147.
Australian Ben Abbott then set about Dunstable’s chase in typically positive fashion as he smashed 26 from 17 balls including two huge sixes at Lancot Park.

Hide AdAfter he was bowled, Jonny Rice added 25 from 33, before Sam Cherry continued his impressive Beds League form by hitting an unbeaten 54 as Dunstable chased their target for the loss of five wickets.
After skittling Eggington for 115 last week, the IIs were on the receiving end this week as they were bowled out for just 125 by Potton in Division One.
Ian Horton opened and hit 24, before 26 not out from Tom Hill got Dunstable past 100. However, Potton eased to 129-5 to ensure they won by five wickets, Nick Smith taking 2-18.
The IIIs came out on the wrong side of a tight encounter in Division Three at Lancot Park as they put 216-7 on the board after winning the toss.

Hide AdMehul Godhania added to his 71 from Saturday with 63 on Sunday, before Phil Lewis smashed 41 and Andy Watts made up for his duck last week with an unbeaten 47.
Blunham then got 80 from their last 10 overs to chase their target with six balls to spare for the loss of five wickets, despite Harry Wright’s 2-34, as they made 217-5.
