VIDEO: Check out this historic footage of Airlander's US test flight
The world's largest aircraft, Airlander 10, was first flown under the United States Army development programme.
Prior to being dismantled and shipped to Cardington, the airship undertook test flights in the States about five years ago.
The Airlander is low noise, low pollution, and environmentally-friendly. The craft has ultra-long endurance, and a point-to-point cargo-carrying capacity. It can take off and land in a short distance from unprepared sites in desert, ice, water, or open field environments.
