Prison for man who harassed Luton Borough Council staff
Following a conviction at Luton Magistrates Court in 2016, Daniel Stephen Wiseman, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to ten weeks in jail for ‘harassment without violence’.
The offences were committed against three council officers, who endured persistent contact and threats.

Hide AdWiseman was originally given a suspended sentence with a restraining order, which he breached by failing to attend probation meetings. He was later sentenced to prison on February 17.
Cllr Rachel Hopkins, portfolio holder for enforcement, said: “Our officers face a variety of challenges as they go about their work and to face harassment as they perform their duty is totally unacceptable.
“We are pleased with this verdict and will do all we can to ensure those who offend in a similar way are prosecuted in order to protect our hardworking staff.”
