Man charged over 'deeply disturbing' violence in Luton after victim suffers gunshot wounds

A man has been charged over a "deeply disturbing" outbreak of violence on Luton's streets in April, in which another man suffered gunshot wounds.

Police were called to Hitchin Road near the Duke Street area of High Town just after 7.15pm on Wednesday, April 29.

Uran Tabaku, 29, of Heath Close, Luton, was charged on Thursday, July 9, with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and a possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance on Monday, August 10.
