Free help from Garden Aiders
Green Aiders is a free on-off gardening service for senior citizens (aged 65 plus) and the disabled, run by community charity Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire.
The aim of the project is to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of the vulnerable, while providing volunteers with valuable gardening training and experience.

Hide AdIt involves 16 gardens and will run from now until April. The work will be carried out by Groundwork staff and a volunteer team of adults with learning difficulties.
Spokesman Christian Iszchak said: “The demand last year was overwhelming.
“The additional run of visits has been funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Bedfordshire’s Coommunity Safety Fund to enable us to help Luton residents we didn’t see last year and to extend the service to Dunstable and Houghton Regis.”
