Two injured in collision near train station
The road, close to Leagrave Train Station, was closed while the vehicles were recovered.
A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police, said: “We were called at around 7.50pm on Saturday to reports of a two-vehicle collision in Grange Avenue, Luton.

Hide Ad“The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered, but was reopened by around 10pm.
“Damage was also caused to street furniture during the incident and a set of traffic lights at the junction with Leagrave High Street have been deactivated.
“The local authority has been informed.”
The East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene and took two people to Luton and Dunstable hospital.
A spokesperson for the service said: “We sent two ambulance crews and a rapid response vehicle to the road traffic collision.

Hide Ad“Two people were treated at the scene and taken to the Luton and Dunstable hospital for further treatment, the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”
A passer by did not see the incident but was there after it happened. He said: “There was a silver Focus and an Astra involved in the crash. I don’t think there were any serious injuries but I know some people were taken to hospital.”
