If the name Hockwell Green sounds familiar, it’s because Luton is a big inspiration for How It Ended Productions - who are also known as Teresa Burns and Eva Sampson.

Former Luton Sixth Form College and Cardinal Newman student Teresa said: “Luton constantly inspires our work. In fact, most of our plays end up being set in Luton because there’s so much to draw on. The diversity of its people makes for a rich tapestry. Our latest show, You Obviously Know What I’m Talking About, is set in the town. It follows the day in the life of a lonely man called Winfield who lives in a tiny high-rise flat. We called Winfield’s estate Hockwell Green - which sounds sort of familiar doesn’t it?”

Eva and Teresa formed their company in 2008 at the University of Birmingham.

In 2011 they became supported artists of the Hat Factory in Luton and produced the fantastic show Waterproof for the venue last year.

Waterproof was performed in a warehouse in Guildford Street where the pair created a site-specific set which the audience were led to by local guides. Their work is imaginative and visual.

You Obviously Know What I’m Talking About combines hilarious comic scenarios with poignant visual sequences. An unforgettable tale that celebrates the topsy-turvy nature of life about those days when if something can go wrong it will and inevitably at the worst possible moment.
