Panto gave young stars a giant chance to shine
No matter what the level of talent or performance skills, everyone has a named part and gets their chance to shine.
However, space stops me from mentioning everyone by name in the Stage 1 pantomime Jack & The Beanstalk at Stopsley High School.

I liked Amy Farrar’s Dame Edna. Played with great vigour, loads of expression and good rapport with the audience, a very accomplished performance.
Daniel Ayemere-Okojie as Sgt Plod – has a lovely open face, with a great smile and good projection.
Georgia Lloyd was a very pretty Barbara Allen, and a charming Dorothy.

Chloe Harkin as Jack gave us a good strong principal boy, with flair and good singing voice.
Jack’s friends all created good characters.
Ciara Shadlow certainly looked the part of the Fairy Godmother and projected well in both dialogue and song.
William Nicholls and Jay Winn created funny and full-on characters of Silly Billy and Peter Piper.

Hide AdEmily Harber got good contrast in her character as the Giant’s Housekeeper.
Benjamin Agasee was a super scarecrow. We all loved his song and he has such an expressive face and body.
And so, to Daffodil the cow, which was a collaboration between William Nicholls and Jay Winn.
This won our hearts and gave us lots of humour.
The Giant was very menacing, with excellent sound and lighting effects.
Costumes were lovely, which they always are.
